LAMB OF GOD Drummer Looking Forward To GIGANTOUR

August 16, 2006

LAMB OF GOD drummer Chris Adler recently commented on the band's participation in the North American installment of Gigantour 2006, which will begin on September 7 in San Diego, California. The trek will feature LAMB OF GOD, ARCH ENEMY, OPETH, OVERKILL, THE SMASHUP, INTO ETERNITY and SANCTITY in addition to the headliner MEGADETH.

Said Adler: "We are thrilled to be a part of the 2006 Gigantour. We are looking forward to a vicious set that will allow us to really open this monster up a bit. With 'Sacrament' set for release on August 22, this tour is the perfect opportunity for us to hit the road with a brand new extended live set full of some blistering new material. This album and tour represent quite a lot for us. We have worked very hard and created something relentless and very dark — it's the kind of album that makes the hairs on my neck stand up. It's a punishing ride and we are extremely proud of it. We can't wait to feel it come alive and have you there as we breathe new life into it on stage. This will be the first — and last — North American tour LAMB OF GOD will do in support of 'Sacrament' for the remainder of 2006. We hope you are able to make it out to celebrate the release with us. See you in the pit!!!"

As previously reported, two complete tracks from LAMB OF GOD's upcoming "Sacrament" album — "Redneck" and "Walk with Me in Hell" — are available for streaming at LambOfGod.tv.

"Sacrament", the second Epic Records studio release from LAMB OF GOD, will be issued individually and as a CD and DVD deluxe edition, which will include over 90 minutes of special behind-the-scenes footage of the making of "Sacrament".

This special deluxe edition of "Sacrament" chronicles the making of the album from the early stages of writing and rehearsing to the actual studio recording. Filmed during the spring of 2006, the footage captures the intensely personal aspects of the album making process as well as taking a sneak peek inside the band's private lives. The DVD contains interviews from each band member as well as director's cut versions of two videos from the upcoming release, including the first single "Redneck".
